David has been a licensed and practicing therapist since 2018, working with a diverse range of clients and conditions. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology from UC Davis in 2010 and initially pursued a career in physical therapy. However, after experiencing a lower back injury, he sought treatment from his future mentor, Judy Terwilliger, whose expertise in Functional Bowen therapy facilitated his recovery and introduced him to this specialized modality.
Inspired by his own healing journey, David furthered his education by attending the Fair Oaks Massage Institute in 2018, becoming a licensed massage therapist. He then spent five years working under Judy at her practice, Flexibly Fit, refining his skills and deepening his understanding of myofascial therapy. David established Leary Integrated Functional Therapy in December 2023 and continued treating a wide array of clients.
